Motors looks and appearances

Many outboard in the market place in years gone by have been made in different colour's but are still the same motor shape and dimensions!

APPEARANCE: The photo below of these 3 motors are exactly the same outboard but with different color's and decals. These 3 outboards are the same models and if you look closely will see the air intakes on the top of the cowling are the same (4 lines) even though they look different (color/graphics).

Another example would be Mercury & Mariner outboards are exactly the same but have different color cowlings (silver for Mariner & black for Mercury), this includes the motor/leg/steering/prop/gearbox and everything associated with it.

Johnson/Evinrude made 4 stroke outboards for Suzuki from about 1998 to 2008. So these motors will be the same shape but will have the Johnson/Suzuki or Evinrude branding and color's As an example in 1999 Evinrude 60hp 4 stroke motor is the same outboard as the Evinrude or Suzuki for that year, but the Suzuki is black, the Evinrude is dark blue and the Johnson is white in colour. Johnson also bought out some 2 strokes in both Johnson & Evinrude branding that were the same motor but the name, color and or decals were different. An example of this is the Johnson 150hp 2 stroke 1997 was called the Ocean runner & the same Johnson outboard was called the Ocean Pro (see two pictures below), but they were the same outboard!!

DON'T SEE A PICTURE OF YOUR MOTOR: Unfortunately we do not have a picture for every motor in our list but if we have listed the motor then we have the pattern. If you wish you can continue with the order make a note in the last page of the order form and if you wish you could even send us a couple of shots of your motor to confirm we have the correct model and we can then add this picture to our database online.
